The media blitz for The Village on False Creek (nee Millennium Water) began today, with some specific pricing details released by Rennie Marketing.
As we reported earlier last week, units in two parcels are being released for sale at an aggregate discount of 30% off the old prices.
Now we’ve got a roundup with the full list of price ranges and some individual unit discounts from different sources. Check it out, along with a refresher map of the parcels for sale, after the jump…
The two parcels for sale have been dubbed “Bridge” (due to an aspect toward the Cambie Bridge) and “Kayak” (due to… well, it mostly sounds good).

Last year, “Bridge” (or Parcel 3) sold only 7% of its units and “Kayak” (or Parcel 10) sold only 35% of its units:

Those are some wide ranges…
So what do the individual discounts look like?
- The Vancouver Sun reported on two individual units:
- A 3 Bedroom, 2,500 sq. ft. on the 10th floor in Kayak was reduced by 38% from $4.8 million to just under $3 million (still about $1200 per sq. ft.).
- A Studio, 566 sq. ft. on the 7th floor in Bridge was reduced about 21% from $530,900 to $420,000 (now about $742 per sq. ft.).
- News 1130 noted a One Bedroom, 408 sq. ft. that has been reduced about 25% from $645,000 to $484,000 (now about $1,186 per sq. ft.).
- And the Province reported on two more units:
- A Two Bedroom, 1,074 sq. ft. on the 5th floor in a Kayak building has been reduced by about 34% from $1,400,900 to $929,900 (now about $866 per sq. ft.).
- A Studio, 473 sq. ft. in a Bridge building has been reduced by about 12.5% from $405,900 to $354,900 (now about 750 per sq. ft.).
VIP sales start today at noon. Although word has gotten out that super-secret-ultra-VIP test sales have been going on for the past week.

still overpriced. studios across the street at Wall Centre False Creek were selling for 260,000-280,000 only one month ago, and that building is Leed Silver.
The Village is doomed. These units are way too small and overpriced, the only people buying them are investors to rent out. This will be a rental village, hope it doesn’t turn into the projects like in New York. Oh yeah and the heating system doesn’t work…not to mention the mice on the ground floor units that have taken up residents…some insider information rennie don’t want anyone to know. I spoke with a contractor and he said they were rushed to build the place so it’s shoddy construction.
Short, sweet, to the point, FREE-eaxctly as information should be!
Rennie has a lot of money, he should offer to buy one of the buildings and just leave it empty. It could be another one of his fab pieces of modern art.
